Traditional Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM) is a popular process for making prototype parts using melted, extruded plastic to form your parts layer by layer.  The materials are production-grade versions of ABS, polycarbonate, PLA, etc.  Parts produced in FDM are durable, chemical resistant and heat resistant.  It lacks the precision finish of other options, but if you need a quick part produced in a production material, standard FDM may be the best choice.
